Honeysuckle Stud

  • Knabstrupper Breeding

At Honeysuckle Stud, we primarily specialise in breeding Knabstruppers. Classified as a rare breed, these spotted Danish Warmbloods are extremely versitile, and so make fantastic allrounders.

  • Foals & Young stock For Sale

We currently do not have any stock avaliable for sale.

    However, we are expecting at least 2 foals for 2025;

    1) Holstein x Irish Draught - to make 15.3/16hh. Event prospect.

    2) Thoroughbred x Knabstrupper - to make 16hh. Allrounder. Will be spotted.

  • Stallion Covering

    Coming soon…

Our up and coming Knabstrupper stallion, Dunrose Pave the Way, will be standing at stud from 2026.

  • Young stock Full Livery

We have a limited number of spaces to take youngstock on either as; 1) full grass livery, where they run with our mares and other youngstock in a herd, or 2) standard full livery with a 5-day schedule of handling and ground work. This latter option is perfect for those proving difficult to handle, or just starting out. Youngstock on standard full livery are stabled at night and go out to pasture in the day.

Meet the Breeding Herd

  • Dunrose Pave the Way (Driveway)

Our 2-year-old homebred up and coming Knabstrupper stallion. We originally intended to sell him to pay for a new driveway but he captured our hearts. We never got the driveway done, and now we have a horse with a silly name 😅

  • Dunrose Crema De Fresa (Strawberry)

    3-year-old homebred Knabstrupper x PRE.

  • Yggdrasil Deore (Deore)

    2-year-old few spot Knabstrupper.

  • Calidoscope (Cali)

15.1hh Holstein ex-eventer, now used as a broodmare.
